Our Collection
Our Collection
Over the last seventy-odd years, The Ferntree Gully Arts Society has built up a collection of some 100 works of art. Many of these were as acquisitive prizes from exhibitions, some were presented to the FTG Arts Society and others were donated.
The Collection is an integral part of the Society and some of the works are on display in public spaces around the City of Knox.
Included in our collection are works by Kenneth Jack, Ray Crooke, Arnold Shore and Noel Counihan. We also have works by well-known local artists such as John Dudley, George Eddy, John Frawley, Hiltrud Barfus, Maggie Reid, June Barnett and Bert Birtles.
Anyone interested in the collection from an historical point of view, or for research, is welcome to contact the Society.
Some works are no longer available for viewing due to various reasons including some works which were destroyed by fire at the Knox City Council Chambers in 1994.
Copyright of the work remains with the artist and reproduction in any form by web users is forbidden without written permission.
