Workshops

Art Workshops

Workshops are open to members and non-members. These are member-driven and as such there is no formal tuition, however members are willing to offer advice if needed.

Easels and drawing tables are supplied, byo art materials. 

WORKSHOP FEES

Members: $5

Non-members: $10

Student: $5  (up to 25 years & with student ID card)

Life-drawing (Tuesdays) – members: $20

Life-drawing (Tuesdays) – non-members: $25

PRINT MAKING WORKSHOP

We have a very keen bunch of printmakers meeting weekly. Some of us do linocuts, some work on a relatively new type of Perspex and we also produce monotypes in oil and acrylic. We welcome beginners and everyone is keen to share knowledge and offer a warm welcome. Don’t put printmaking into the “too hard” box – you will be producing work on the first visit.

ARTISTS' WORKSHOPS

All mediums welcome. It’s a light and friendly evening where we enjoy a chat and a cuppa whilst creating in any medium of choice. 

STILL LIFE GROUP

We set up some still life arrangements with bottles, flowers, old boots etc, however you are welcome to bring along your own things. We work in all mediums and offer a friendly, relaxed and comfortable environment.

LIFE DRAWING GROUP

We are a friendly group of artists, who enjoy a cuppa and a chat half time. It is a casual workshop which allows you to attend when you can. We have 2 long pose days a month on the second and last Tuesdays, allowing artists to complete a work. Remaining Tuesdays are short poses and we have a good variety of very professional models.
